That is what made me want to start this site. Boys are ‘supposed’ to prefer sports and girls are ‘supposed’ to prefer fashion, I prefer not to have to choose.

I was quite literally raised to believe that the Denver Broncos were our religion and Mile High was our church. My first item of clothing was a Broncos cheer uniform and I attended my first game before I could walk.

Raised by a single dad, I obviously wanted to share in his passion but as a little girl I developed my own unique relationship with football.

Before I understood downs and offensive pass interference, it was the pageantry that pulled me to the sport. I was in awe of the cheerleaders in their chaps and cowboy boots, struck by the beauty of Thunder as she stormed across the field and dazzled by the sea of orange and blue made up of fans creatively cultivated outfits. While my dad excitedly anticipated how the players would perform each week, I was eager to see what uniform combo they would be wearing.

After many years of never missing a game, developing my football IQ, and the realization that the Broncos have brought every generation in my family together and carried us through our greatest hardships, I fully understood what it meant to be United in Orange.

I also have to give credit to my first love, Demaryius Thomas. I was 13 and the second I saw him ascend into the endzone in 11 seconds to beat the Steelers in the 2012 AFC Wild Card Game, I knew it was over for me. Thomas and the Broncos would forever hold my heart.

Since then, my love for football and appreciation for the ability sports have to change lives and mold communities have never stopped growing.

Here, I have created a space where sports enthusiasts of all ages and genders can explore sports through multiple lenses. We don’t all have to be born and bred fans or play the game to be touched by the beauty of sports. Sometimes, the glitz and glam of it all or the dreaminess of a player can spark a special bond between you, your team, and your fellow fans.
